One of the hits of 2010 Macworld was a 30 minute presentation by Andy Ihnatko writes about technology for the Chicago Sun Times. He wrote the best book on the Iphone by far and is a frequent participant on Macbreak Weekly.

Andy went one full year without any printed media !!. He says the hardest part was that 20 minutes when the plane door closes and you can’t turn on any electronic devices. It is then that he pulls out People Magazine and reads about some young starlet and her 8 children.

Hopefully someone will publish a video of this talk. It is a classic. Meanwhile here are a few clips I took with my Flipvideo UltraHD while sitting in the audience.

Thanks Andy ! It was the best of Macworld for me.

In a New York Times Best Seller “The 4 Hour Workweek”, Ferris sets out to show how you can improve the quality of your life by escaping the 9-5 existence, make your life exciting and outsource many of the day to day tasks which suck the life out of you.

Now that the book has been such a success, Tim is inviting readers to edit the second edition of his book. This is the url :

http://tinyurl.com/2hrlw4

He has set up an a website where contributors can add to or edit the first edition. Web 2.0 meets the 4 hour work week. So who gets the credit for the new volume?
Tim rewards the top contributor with:

1) A roundtrip ticket anywhere in the world (using Continental or a partner airline of OnePass)
2) Their name in the acknowledgments of the 4HWW
3) My help planning the mini-retirement, whether a romantic trip to Bali or touring the hidden temples and Bladerunner-like coolness of Japan.

Meanwhile, Tim is “who knows where” enjoying his life.

Tom Sawyer – eat your heart out.

Tim is practicing what he preaches and at the same time, challenges his readers to get involved and taste the life that they want.

Thanks Tim or should I say Tom?
