July was travel time. We went to Alaska aboard the “Coral Princess”.

Back to work for a few days and next week off to Lake Tahoe with our family.

I love to take leisurely walks. In Saturday we were in Healdsburg. I decided to take a slow walk in the neighborhood.
What more could you ask for than a mild Fall day and a beautoful walk.

The Ritz Carlton, Highlands – Lake Tahoe, CA

The new Ritz Carlton Highlands adds a significant hotel and venue to the Northern Lake Tahoe. It is located above the Northstar Resort in Truckee, CA. This is the only ski in, ski out resort at Lake Tahoe.

There is a wonderful gondola which takes you back and forth from the Ritz to Nortstar.

Lands End & Sutro Baths

I took time out on Thursday to explore Lands End and the ruins of Sutro Baths in San Francisco. You can walk along the foundation and watch the ocean from ground level. The walk around the Coastal Trail leads North East towards the Golden Gate Bridge. The parking lot has recently been expanded making it very easy to acces this beautiful San Francisco landmark.

Fall is the best time of the year on the Nortern California Coast. Half Moon Bay has always been one of my favorite spots.

The Ritz Carlton is a beautiful addition to this wonderful community.

Fall Colors Cruise – October 2009

The perfect escape – a 10 day cruise on the Crown Princess up the East Coast starting from New York stopping in Newport, RI, Boston, MA, Bar Harbor, ME, St. John, Halifax and Quebec City.

It felt more like winter as we headed into Canada and were greeted with the first snow of the year In Quebec. None of this dampened anyones spirits.
